Learn the different methods for making coffee and the variables that influence its production and that affect its quality. The Brewing module offers practical training on grinding profiles, preparation methods, and the measurement of coffee intensity as well as the graphical representation of its extraction. Students learn and use a variety of different methods and manage to understand the correlation between these variables and cup quality. The module is an intensive and practical program.
On the second day, and upon completion of the course work, students will take the SCA Brewing Foundation practical exam. They must then complete a written exam alone online. After passing the exams, they will earn 5 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.
