This two-day course is suitable for beginners and amateurs alike and is a solid introduction to roasting, both theoretically and practically.
Roasted Foundation provides a basic understanding of the roasting process, including its cycle and how to control the sensory aspects of light or dark roasted coffee.
On the second day, and upon completion of the course work, students will take the SCA Roasting Foundation practical exam. They must then complete a written exam alone online. After passing the exams, they will earn 5 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.
