SCA Roasting Foundation

Learn about the roasting process, including the roasting cycle and its levels, identification of defects, the physical changes that the coffee bean undergoes during the roasting process and the management of the workspace and the production cycle. This two-day course is suitable for beginners and amateurs alike and is a solid introduction to roasting, both theoretically and practically. Coffea School provides lunch.

This is a 2 days course from 9am to 3pm, but can be extended if needed.

The class will last two days, 9am-5pm each day including snacks and refreshments. Coffea School provides lunch. Upon completion of the course work, students will have 21 days to take the SCA Roasting Foundation written exam online. After passing the exam, students will earn 5 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma. This course may be taken in presence or in an Online LIVE format.

Once you have booked and your payment is confirmed, we will begin the process of preparing your class. Although we understand that there are situations beyond our control that may require you to reschedule or cancel your reservation, our refund and rescheduling policy reflects the costs incurred in preparing the scheduled class.

Refund Policy: Training fees are fully refundable (less a 3.5% payment processing fee) if training is canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the course. No cancellation is available with less than 2 business days notice, however you can reschedule with the corresponding rescheduling fees.

Rescheduling Fees: No fee is applied if rescheduling is requested at least 14 days before the start of the course. A rescheduling fee of US $150 will apply if rescheduling is requested less than 14 days prior to the start of the course.
