Hibiscus Flowers (Flor de Jamaica)
Dried calyces from the roselle flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa) know for its tart, floral flavor and deep red color, commonly used for making "agua de jamaica" infusions or a number of other potential uses. See the links below for some ideas!
Ingredients: Hibiscus flowers
Herbal and Spice Blend.
Steeping Instructions:
Serving Size: 2.5gr or 1tbs - 8 oz water
Temperature Water: 205 F
Steep Time: 5-7 minutes
We encourage you to experiment with the quantity of the infusion and the length of the steep time to find your desired brew strength. Varying the water temperature isn't recommended, as water that is too hot will over-extract the bitter components of the infusion, while water that is too cool might not fully draw out the aromas and flavors of the infusion.
