Brewing Intermediate lasts 3 days, and offers significant practical training working with and manipulating the different variables that have an impact on coffee extraction. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the Coffee Brewing Control Chart, learn how to navigate it's parameters, all the while examining correlation to cup quality.
On the third day, and upon completion of the course work, students will take the SCA Brewing Intermediate practical exam. They must then complete a written exam alone online. By completing the course work and passing the exams, students earn 10 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.
