SCA Sensory Skills Foundation
This comprehensive course is designed to equip coffee aficionados and professionals with the sensory skills necessary to start their path in the coffee industry. Through hands on coursework, students will develop an understanding of coffee flavors and aromas, quality assessment terminology, and an ability to cup coffee. The program facilitates sensory skills training and provides the tools for students to evaluate coffee with confidence.
Learn the basics of sensory evaluation in a practical and interactive way. The Sensory Skills module delves into the way we perceive what we taste, in the evaluation of the natural characteristics of coffee and in the introduction of this knowledge in our business.
The class will last two days from 9am-3pm each day including snacks and refreshments. Coffea School provides lunch. Upon completion of the course work, students will have 21 days to take the SCA Sensory Skills Foundation written exam online. After passing the exam, students will earn 5 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma. This course may be taken in presence or in an Online LIVE format.
Once you have booked and your payment is confirmed, we will begin the process of preparing your class. Although we understand that there are situations beyond our control that may require you to reschedule or cancel your reservation, our refund and rescheduling policy reflects the costs incurred in preparing the scheduled class.
Refund Policy: Refund Policy: Training fees are fully refundable (less a 3.5% payment processing fee) if training is canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the course. No cancellation is available with less than 2 business days notice, however you can reschedule with the corresponding rescheduling fees.
Rescheduling Fees: No fee is applied if rescheduling is requested at least 14 days before the start of the course. A rescheduling fee of US $150 will apply if rescheduling is requested less than 14 days prior to the start of the course.
