It all starts with sourcing the best possible cacao. Standout Chocolate wants to build long term relationships with passionate people who can provide us with exceptional cacao and who shares our strive for ecological, economical, and social sustainability.

Their philosophy is to use as few ingredients as possible – only cacao beans and cane sugar – simply because they believe in making chocolate that is as true to its origin as possible. The variety, growth environment and post-harvest process each plays an important role in developing the unique taste profile of each origin. Therefore, they always look for growers that shares their passion for fine cacao and take pride in their work.

They buy cacao beans of high quality to preserve every origins individual taste profile as much as possible when making the chocolate. Therefore, they slow-roast at low temperature to develop each origin in its own unique way. A good roast will develop the complexity of flavors while keeping it in balance, giving a long and clean aftertaste.

Sweden is one of the countries in the world that consumes most coffee per capita. They are also in the forefront of the emerging specialty coffee scene, so it was natural for Standout to combine the best of two worlds. Creating an overall floral and fruity bar using cacao from Öko Caribe in Dom Rep.

The coffee used is a washed Gesha from Hugo Mariño in the Cusco region in Peru. Roasted in Sweden by Johan & Nyström.
